CBI intends to offer an internship to 50 students of NFSU Gandhinagar for a period of six months to one year. The internship is expected to start in January 2022.

“The students will benefit a lot from the internship as they will be part of the CBI investigation process. They will be sent to Delhi, Mumbai and other places where accommodation facilities will be arranged by CBI. an official from the Forensic Sciences Directorate (DFS) told the Ahmedabad Mirror.

Technology has made it easier to commit serious crimes by abusing loopholes in the law. Therefore, law enforcement agencies rely on the scientific and forensic aspects of the investigation to obtain conclusive evidence. CBI, India’s supreme investigative agency, continues to need trained crime scene investigators and forensic experts. “If the CBI offers internships for NFSU students, it will certainly benefit the students as well as the CBI,” said Keshav Kumar, retired IPS officer.
