Cristiano Ronaldo’s WAG Georgina Rodriguez ‘snubs’ about being a real housewife
Fans were thrilled when football legend Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Manchester United this summer. And his transfer meant that his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, and their family left Turin, Italy, to start a new life in Cheshire.
The couple – worth £ 300million – moved into a £ 6million mansion in Alderley Edge with their daughter Alana, two, and Cristiano’s three children from previous relationships, Cristiano Jr, 10 years old, and twins Eva and Mateo, three years old. They have now reportedly moved to another nearby property due to privacy and noise issues.
The arrival of Georgina, 27, will no doubt have excited the local WAG circle, including Real Housewives Of Cheshire stars Tanya Bardsley – married to Phil Bardsley, who plays for Burnley – and Dawn Ward, married to the former Manchester United player Ashley Ward.
But sources tell Closer the WAGs have been disappointed as the family has remained isolated and prefers a quiet life rather than a life in the spotlight.
The source said: “The wives and girlfriends of the City and United players are very close. Since Georgina arrived in Cheshire, the WAGs have invited her to many events and are ready to welcome her in full swing. She’s the richest and most prominent WAG in the world, so she would be a great addition to their circle.
“But being part of the WAG group is not Georgina’s style and never has been. If she goes out to eat, it will be with Cristiano and the kids, not in a fancy bar with some girlfriends. Most of the time, she prefers Netflix and takeout to a fancy restaurant. If she goes to a game, she is normally left on her own, just focusing on watching Cristiano play and meeting him afterwards. “

Georgina’s lifestyle is now a far cry from her childhood, having grown up in a working-class family in the small village of Jaca in Spain. She left home at 15, earning just £ 250 a week as a shop assistant while sharing a cramped house with five people.
After learning English in Spain, she moved to the UK to work as an au pair in Bristol, earning £ 9.50 an hour. She then returned to Madrid and became a sales assistant at Gucci. In 2016, she met Cristiano, 36, when he walked into the store.
She said of their meeting: “Our first meeting was at Gucci … A few days later, we met again at an event for another brand. It was then that we were able to discuss in a relaxed atmosphere, outside my working environment. It was love at first sight for both of them.

But despite dating a multimillionaire, Georgina said she was keen to stay grounded and be financially stable in her own right. While Cristiano was playing for Italy’s Juventus team, she took a financial accounting course, saying she wanted a career. She said: “I loved making money for myself and never let myself be helped. If I can buy something that is cheap, I will. If I can’t wear Chanel, I buy Zara.
And sources say ITV was eager to take Georgina for the hit show Real Housewives Of Cheshire – but she’s not interested in a life in the limelight.
The source adds: “Georgina would be perfect for real housewives – she has an amazing lifestyle, is beautiful and has a fascinating history of rags to riches. But she is not interested. She likes to lay low and stay put. true to herself, and doesn’t want to be a reality star.
