Livermore Falls Library to Resume “Fall into Books” Program
LIVERMORE FALLS – The Fall into Books program is back at the Treat Memorial Library, 56 Main St.
Every time customers view books, they have a chance to win a book in December. The more books you read, the more chances you gain. The library has books for children, teens and adults, so everyone can play this fall.
Meanwhile, customers can check out The Book Was Better Tuesdays in September on Facebook and tell staff which movie adaptations are preferred.
Online Story Time takes place every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook. The staff will share some of their favorite picture books, nursery rhymes and songs.
Find out what staff have been reading lately by watching the Bonkers for Books series on Facebook. Everything from biography to graphic novel to picture books will be recommended. Bonkers for Books will take place on Saturdays September 4 and 18.
The library’s Zoom Book Club meets at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 9. Her Books-on-Books theme continues with Fiona Davis’ “The Lions of Fifth Avenue,” a historical fiction about a series of robberies from the New York Public Library. Ask a staff member for a copy of the book for discussion and a Zoom invitation.
Due to everyone who participated in the Library’s Summer Reading Program: Tails and Tales, including its Mystery of the Cat Burglar, staff donated an item to the local food bank for every book or hour read this summer.
The library will be closed on Tuesday, September 7, on Labor Day.
The Treat Memorial Library is open without an appointment. Staff ask that clients always wear masks to protect those who have not been vaccinated, cannot be vaccinated or are medically vulnerable, and limit the time to 30 minutes if possible. The curbside service will always be available.
Call the library at 207-897-3631 with any questions or for more information. Users can log into their own account and access the 3M cloud library through Treat.biblionix.com/catalog. Once there, click “See What’s Hot” for a list of all the new items. Follow the library on Facebook for any new development.
