Well, first of all all you need to do is register on the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website or its application software (app) to book tickets from Indian railway.

- Access the official website of the IRCTC
- At the top of the page, click on the Register option
- The IRCTC registration form will appear
- Enter your username, which must be between 3 and 35 words
- Select the security question and its answer
- Then enter your name, gender, marital status, profession, date of birth
- Fill in a valid email id and mobile number as the login password
- Enter your full address
- Then enter the text of the image and click on the “Send” button
- Verify the account by entering the code sent to your registered mobile number or email address. Click on the “Send” option
- Finally, you will receive a message saying “Successfully registered”
Wondering how to book train tickets on IRCTC? Here’s how:
- Visit the IRCTC website at irctc.co.in
- Click on the login option on the home page
- Once logged in, go to the “Book your ticket” page
- Enter the departure and arrival station, the embarkation station and the destination station
- Select the date of your trip and the class in which you wish to travel
- Check the availability of seats on the train of your choice
- If places are available, click on the option “book now”
- Add the details required to book tickets
- Enter the mobile number and the captcha
- Then pay the fees online by credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI – whichever suits you
- Finally, you will receive a message on your phone
